Many thanks to Mark,his Mrs and all the staff at 301 .. great welcome and looked after for the 5 days in Cebu . Also a big shout out to some of the local expat lads who were a great laugh. A great bar day time and evenings . Live music mid week into the weekends . A good friendly feel to the place . Looking forward to seeing how upstairs turns out once completed . A good choice of foods available and tasty at that too.

My first impression was that I've been here countless times before. Or rather, bars just like this. A typical expat hangout consisting of a pool table, flags of the world, flat screen TV's and contemporary pop music being played solely for the benefit of the female staff. Pretty standard for Southeast Asia, eh? Well, I did a complete 180 at 8:00 pm. That's when a kickass live rock band took the stage and played a wide variety of killer classics! I ordered the German Bratwurst but it wasn't what I expected for 355php. When the food originally came out it was only the small Bratwurst that is in the picture with mash potatoes and salad (no sauerkraut and bread). After addressing the issues about the food I received, the sever gave me extra mash potatoes with bread and sauerkraut instead of an oversized brat with bread and sauerkraut. The Bratwurst was approximately the size of a breakfast sausage.

AVOID THIS PLACE— and go elsewhere. I ordered chicken cordon bleu, which was undercooked and smelled terrible. The one serving it, apparently the female owner, also looked surprised when asked for the gravy. I told the other female attendant behind the bar that the chicken was undercooked and raw and showed her the white uncooked chicken. So she went to tell the female owner, the one who served the food. When the female attendant returned, the excuse that the female owner told her to say to me was that the chef wasn’t around yet, so it was the female owner who operated the kitchen instead: …
