I stayed here on and off over a couple of weeks. It was great. I'm not sure where to start so I'll make a random list: the staff is always nice, friendly and willing to help; all the food I tried was always good, especially the breakfast omelette; the rooms are clean, air con is modern, showers have curtains or are boxed in; this place is So Quiet! Away from the music and business of Alina; private beach, swimming pool that is often empty, lounges, good WiFi; options to eat in the area include the lovely guitarwoodhouse, local eateries and more, a bakery right opposite, and if you like a hear…
A nice budget friendly option that is rough around the edges, but was a good place for our family. Pros: Quiet, nice dive shop on-site, good breakfast, nice pool, good location if you have a car/scooter. Several restaurants within walking distance. Cons: Crazy low water pressure (horrible showers), no hot water, AC units drip sporadically in the night, beach isn’t great. They have a “help wanted” sign at the entrance looking for a maintenance worker. I suspect if they hire one, many of my frustrations would be resolved.
Resort is located a short tricycle ride ( or a good 20 min walk ) from main Alona square yet there are minimarts and a few restaurants options nearby. Also, it has direct access to the beach ( not really swimmable because of a lot of bangkas boats parked there ), and it s only a few minutes walk from the departure point of the island tours. Resort was very clean and quiet, we had a pool view bungalow which was huge, very comfy bed, air conditionning super powerful. Room had a fridge, coffee/tea facility, hot water, TV, safe and a huge terrace facing the pool . There are some roosters in the v…
Come for relaxing by the pool, return again and again for the scuba diving. My Filipina wife and I have come here twice each year for about five years, and with each year, things are getting better. It’s relaxed and friendly Filipina-style service. The rooms are basic but very clean and pleasant. Our room had just been renovated, which is one example on how this small resort is always looking for ways to improve. The breakfasts are hearty and tasty (the toast is not toasted, but compensates with lots of jam). Dinners have now been added back, and that was a pleasant surprise. But just loo…
This is budget friendly resort, Rooms are nice altho the bungalow we stayed had some leaking on the toilet, the housekeeping staff is quick to respond tho. The location is a distance to famous alona beach which means its quiet away from the crowd. There is a wide pool but its kinda yellowish-greenish so we didnt try to swim. Staff were very nice and accomodating. They also have a diveshop but the beachfront is not as nice as Alona beach. Its the best place when you really wanna take a rest and have some peaceful time. Standard room is ₱1500/night good for two and it has ac, fridge, hot s…
