$20~ can definetly feed 2 here! Wife and I had our Christmas dinner here and it was nice overall. I am from Kansas, of the US and so not many of the dishes were favorites of mine but I did enjoy the Sushi and the Chicken Adobo! The food was fresh and they kept it coming! The restaurant is clean, well kept and the staff are very friendy. Overall, Cabalen is a nice restaurant to take the family to if you can afford it.
580 PHP/ea for Mon dinner. As a tourist, It's my first time really trying Philippines cuisine in buffet setting. I feel the food is ok but I'm constantly confused by the robust flavour. Other times I can't tell what I am eating due to little English labels. Eg: pork in sardines sauce, beef tendon in peanut sauce (I'm quite sure I'm wrong but this explains my confusion) I don't regret trying it, but I will unlikely return.
The service has improved compared to the last 5 years when i first ate here. They refill the dishes as soon as its empty. Affordable but don’t expect much for the quality and the variety is not so much but reasonable for the price.
Food here are some Filipino cuisine all time favorite but they added few Japanese food like sushi. Price is just right for the type og food serve. It's been years way back since our last dine-in but they improve already some of their dish. I am particular with the quality of food serve and I can give 7 out of 10, still have room for improvement... Thank you for your service...
