Food was very bad for the price 1. Coffee was instant and not even the good kind. Even the milk was bad quality. 2. Chips straight out of chichirya package. Not even the goof ones. 3. HARD FROZEN cheesecake served with a KNIFE since they are apparently aware that it is rock hard. Staff even tried to justify it as a characteristic of a no bake cheese cake like they are serving uninformed people. Inedible.
Felt like a tourist even if lived only a few kilometers away. Loved the history and ambience. Food was good but can be improved to taste more like authentic Spanish cuisine, unless of course the goal is to serve “Filipinized” Spanish food. Service was above par.
One of the more known place to dine and visit when you're in Marikina. I'm totally awed with the history of place. The owner who operates the restaurant graciously shared us the historical significance of the place. Inside the restaurant, the well that has been included in the original house still exists. The place is full of memorabilia from the original owners of the house. This place is where the shoe industry of Marikina was born. The place has several function rooms that can be booked for events. This is a popular place for the locals of Marikina for meetings, etc.
Ancient feels, but food items from their catering service are all delicious. Events place at the second floor has an old ambience but I think they offer affordable packages. Clean restrooms.
Cafe Kapitan will bring you back in early 1800s. If you like Spanish era's establishments, this is the best place for you. I did some shoot with my #trekfarley 27.5 Fatbike.
