Shokudo Banawe is an authentic tasting japanese restaurant that is both delicious and has a big serving! Our craving was definitely satisfied with the big servings of delicious food and was also aesthetically pleasing as well. It's definitely a must try in the Banawe area!
Really big servings! Tempura was really big (chopstick for size reference) but we noticed that some tempura had a bit of uncooked batter on the inside. Rice bowls were really good and very filling. Staff was very attentive and service was great. Definitely worth the price
as always a good experience in this branch. big servings and accommodating staff. sashimis were fresh and are in great quality. yakiniku was a favorite. katsudon and sauce was spot on. their famous tempura was filling. yasai itame was buttery and needs a bit more wow factor like how other places do it. please try their fresh orange juice or lemonade. we had to keep ordering as it was THAT good 🤤😮💨
Atmosphere feels Japanese, albeit more “Japanese-esque” than anything. They were blasting local covers and remixes on the speakers, which feels far-fetched given this is a JAPANESE restaurant. Service is good, arrived just in time. Food has inconsistent quality. Some items were great (tempura, sushi), others were lacking (ramen was too salty). 3/5.
Food quality is good. I like their shoyu ramen; also very pleased with their fresh tuna sashimi. Their agedashi tofu is average. They used a different type of tofu, not the very soft ones that I am used to. Ambiance was very good, and service was great!
