Good go-to place if you are craving for Japanese food. Affordable and yet very tasty and flavorful. This is like a humble Matsuya from BGC but will definitely compete with the price and taste. There is parking right outside the resto but two cars at most. Since we went there around 11pm, we had to park to a nearby establishment. The place is good for small groups only.
Akatsuki 11 Japanese Restaurant offers a culinary experience that strikes a harmonious balance between affordability and delectable flavors. Akatsuki 11 pleasantly surprised with dishes that were not just budget-friendly but also incredibly tasty. The flavors danced on my palate, each bite bringing forth a symphony of tastes that can be aptly described as mouthwatering, scrumptious, and delightful. However, the inviting flavors were accompanied by an atmosphere that left something to be desired. The dimly lit surroundings, coupled with an unexpected presence of mosquitoes and flies, did slig…
Located along Retiro near Banawe. There's only 1 slot for parking. The store itself is quite small with a bar counter table that can seat 5 only at the groundfloor. What it lacks in curb appeal it makes up for in the good quality, presentation and taste profile of the food. Price points is not cheap from a small neighborhood hole-in the wall store point of view. Neither is it too expensive based on the quality of the ingredients and the utmost care in the way they prepare and cook your food. Which by the way is why I always choose a seat near the kitchen so I can watch the staff cook the food…
A somewhat nondescript, would qualify as a hole in the wall if it wasn't along a main thoroughfare, Japanese restaurant. The first floor only has 4 to 5 counter seats but there is a second level with more seating. The upper floor was nice and cool though do be careful when going up and down the stairs. Service was quick, and everyone was nice and polite. Food came out in the right order and at the right temperature. Though the okonomiyaki took a little longer than the rest to get to us, it wasn't that bad a wait. Everything was flavourful and the portions were apt for the price. Will defi…
cute little place w good japanese food! they have a good selection of food available and all were pretty alright to taste. except the sushi rolls are pretty small and the seaweed they use isn't that good. not sure how the other sushi fares. service was good and food came at a short wait so no complaints! our orders were mild tonkatsu ramen, gyoza, ebi tempura (they were really decent size!), chicken teriyaki bowl/don, beef yakiniku don, katsu curry don, and unagi maki (only thing i don't recommend)
