Their iconic Mandarin Chicken was really good and the rice (which wasn’t too oily or salty) complimented it perfectly. We surprisingly loved the Hotplate Tofu. Overall, very comforting food, perfect for whenever I miss Singapore

the hainanese chicken was cooked well, but i wish the sauces were more flavorful. i’m not a fan of plain ginger sauce on its own—I prefer it mixed with green onions, a bit of salt, and more seasoning overall. the sauce felt flat, and i think a better one could’ve really elevated the dish. the satay leaned too sweet for me, and i barely tasted any salt, so it wasn’t something i enjoyed. the laksa was just all right—the noodles were overcooked, but the broth itself had great flavor. the fish cake, though, was remarkable. if i were to come back to chatterbox, i’d definitely order the fish cake a…
