I tend to shun away from roadside coffee establishments because of terrible coffee, but with this place, I was pleasantly surprised. As per barista's recommendation, I tried the Calamansi Coffee Soda. After being exposed to this concoction, I have an appreciation of what it's like to drink black coffee. Yup I know I still have a long way becoming a purist, but this with this drink, I'm a convert. Also - the beans they are using here are from local roasters e.g. GoodCup, YDG; so yeah, it's spesh. Was here on a Sunday morning, we had the place to ourselves; had a blast chatting and people watch…
Great coffee shop to pick up coffee. Was able to try their best sellers, Strawberry Matcha latte, Honeycomb latte, and calamansi soda coffee. All unique in the best ways possible. Although calamansi soda coffee taste a little bit mature for some people. Place looks like a kiosk with few seats, hence the name nook. Service is fast. Kuya wass so kind.
The store itself was small, located next to Koomi. They had two tables suited for small groups. Still, the overall design of the shop looked homey and simple. The barista was able to accomodate my orders and I appreciated both the matcha strawberry latte and their calamansi espresso soda (best seller).
It's seated right beside the road in a very small nook, a favorite place by cyclists. Only half a dozen people can be accommodated because of its tiny place. A one man operation who does everything that I appreciate greatly. But is the coffee good? Yes, it is .Even the cookies and pastries are well made and delicious. Its a nice place to unwind and relax . Even striking a conversation with the barista. The downside of the cute place is....its small . If the place is packed, your left standing, sipping your morning coffee. Otherwise, it's my favorite hangout place in the morning.
We planned to eat at Crabaholic and we were a few minutes early because it was still closed so we decided to try this coffee place beside it while waiting. It's literally a nook. Haha! Place is cute and beside the sidewalk. Great for a quick coffee run. What we ordered: Milo dinosaur - nothing can go wrong with milo. And the little candy dinosaur was soooo cute!!!!!! Matcha latte - not dissolved well, it had a minty(?) taste, it tasted weird. Iced latte - I think the espresso was underextracted because it's a bit sour. Honeycomb latte - aside from the espresso being a bit sour this is best …
