The ambiance at Crisostomo exuded warmth and charm, with tasteful decor that paid homage to Filipino heritage and culture. Each dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The Sinigang Gomez was a tangy symphony of flavors, with tender pork and a rich tamarind broth that perfectly balanced sourness and savory notes. The Noli me Talong was a revelation, showcasing eggplant cooked to perfection and topped with kesong puti. The Pilosopong Pakbet was a delightful medley of fresh vegetables, expertly seasoned and cooked to retain their natural crunch. The Adobo Damaso boasted succulent chicken …

Was planning to eat at Mama Lou’s but they ran out of tomato sauce (I kid you not, it might come in 2 days they said). But glad we went to Crisostomo and had great fried hito (a must-order), pork bbq, and an oxtail kare-kare that would break any keto dieter’s resolve on rice.
Feb 2024: First time to try this branch. We ordered Laing. Spicy Crispy Pata, plain rice, fresh buko and sago't gulaman. The laing is on the sweeter side. It wasn't spicy at all despite the red chilis that was garnished on top of the dish. The spicy crispy pata is very oily and there was no spice whatsoever. The fresh buko is refreshing but the sago't gulaman is too sweet. Too much arnibal for my liking.
