I always enjoy sumiyaki coffee at UCC. It's a plus if they serve Milkfish Belly Paksiw in their branch. That's why I'm happy with my meal now. Its my comfort food. Altough its easy to cook it at home, their version is really good. They add fried eggplant to balance the sourness of the dish and serve it with rice. Yummy!
Residing inside the 8 Rockwell is the Eight Coffee Bar by UCC. This popular Japanese coffee has been a favorite of mine so it's no surprise that I will enjoy their coffee. On a hot morning, I ordered a hot "Matcho," which is a Matcha flavored coffee and a Clubhouse Sandwich. The coffee was just okay. I would prefer a stronger Matcha flavor in it. The sandwich was divine - pure and simple. As for the location, I love the quiet environment. They have an outdoor seating area. The place is not that big so it can get crowded easily during its busy hours. The staff are attentive and look sharp in…
UCC consistently serves good coffee and has great service. Come here if you want to have a business meeting, a coffee with friends or a quick lunch. Its been a while since I had their food and the beef tapa breakfast was a complete miss for me. The rice was fried with soy sauce - too salty for my liking. At 600php, the beef tapa was the sliced beef you usually see in samgyup places. Though beef was tender and there was a tomato relish, at 600php - I felt that pancake house served better beef tapa. You should order the other dishes.
Great place to hang out after a meal or to take a break from the busy mall scene at the Powerplant mall. The place is airy and spacious, not a lot of people flock the shop and is quiet. Very conducive for enjoying coffee and some light snacks.
Drinks are the star at UCC. Despite an array of coffee and matcha choices, quality is never compromised. The unique aesthetics, which wonderfully differ from one cafe to the next, make the UCC experience even more special.
