Better than peri peri chicken in my opinion. Go ahead and order their flame-grilled soft chicken and dip it in their amaxing salsa! You are also provided tortillas to wrap side dish, chicken and salsa in. Relatively affordable food for great taste. They have a dedicated washroom and the interior is inviting and nice.
Loved the food, service, and ambiance, although the airconditioning for the whole place was turned off, not really El Pollo Loco's fault as we went there on a Good Friday. The chicken was delicious and so were all the sides that were served. The crew was friendly, attentive, and courteous. Overall an excellent dining experience.
It has been so long since we ate at Pollo Loco. Surprised that its under new management and now called El Pollo Loco. The chicken still taste the same and came with tortillas and salsa. They also added new dishes too. They have nachos, tacos, burritos, salads and side dishes of macaroni salad, fiesta corn, coleslaw and Spanish rice. Im glad we decided to eat here. We had a very filling meal!
The place is huge and looks amazing, however the food was average. There should be more sauces available. Their beef nachos have too much cumin, the chips are store bought, chicken was average. I'm disappointed that they have cheap generic hot sauce available. Service was great but the food was so-so.
I live in the US and the tacos I had here don't even resemble tacos. The taco "beef' was basically a chunky tomato sauce with a little ground beef and a very strange, slightly sweet Mexican flavor. The burrito was a little better but not even close to Mexican or American standards. The grilled chicken & barbecue were better. However, there was an obvious effort to modify recipes too appeal to Filipino tastes, they should keep the original flavor from the North American restaurants. Atmosphere was nice and service was decent but their "Mexican" food was just WAY off target.
