The escargot is so perfect and the chicken we ordered but we're bit disappointed over the grilled bangus which was obviously old and not fresh.
Mangan restaurant holds a special place in the hearts of many for its classic Filipino Kapampangan dishes, a cuisine known for its rich flavors and hearty servings. With decades of history behind it, Mangan has earned its reputation as a go-to spot for authentic Filipino fare. The prices are fair, making it accessible to a wide range of diners. While the taste of the dishes may not necessarily stand out as spectacular, they deliver on the comforting familiarity that many seek in traditional Filipino cooking. Service: The speed of service is slow. There are certain dishes off the menu. We also requested bibingka kesong puti, but instead, they delivered salted egg. Serve the food slowly—between 30 and 45 minutes—as there aren't a lot of guests there. Always double-check your receipt because the food charge was inaccurate. Food: The following is what we ordered: Bibingka Belly 3 of 5 Sinampalukan na Bangus. - They serve it hot, but in tiny portions. Baby Squid with Salt & Pepper: 4.5 out of 5. - Fresh Squid Has Good Taste served fresh and hot. Liempo Grilled: 2 out of 5. - The pork was dry and …
We had lunch here and ordered bulalo and ensaladang mangga. The mango was too sour but when combined with this sweet sauce it lessens the sourness. Beef Bulalo was a bit oily. Tastes of the foods were just okay. Accommodating staffs though. Prices are reasonable.
The staff required 45 minutes to fulfill our orders after 3 follow ups, even with the restaurant not at full capacity. The sizzling chicken lacked flavor and the metal plate wasn't hot. The kare kare with ox tail was disappointing, with a small portion for its price. No tail, all cow's skin. The tofu sisig was just okay. The white rice resembled, had a texture of and had a taste similar to NFA rice. It took us another 15 minutes to get the bill. For a superior culinary experience, consider trying Manam or Mesa.
