A gourmet grocery and eatery in Makati, serving quality local and international goods. Joel’s Place reminds me of gourmet groceries I’ve been to in other countries, and it might be my favorite of its kind in the PH. While there are other groceries in the country that have a similar appeal, Joel’s Place is distinct because the selection of goods highlighted local products and seemed to be curated well overall. +5 stars to the ambiance, atmosphere, staff friendliness & rare-to-find premium groceries. -100 stars to the pastries, i've never had a drier & sorrier shortcake & croissant in my life. i had it on takeout, but so i could eat it not even 5 minutes later somewhere else on glorietta. so it's not even because it has gone stale while out of their display. it certainly doesn't inspire me to get any of their food ever.

Rare finds for grocery items, but hot meals served was disappointing - very pricey but low on quality. Way better in Marketplace of Rustan’s. Overall ambiance is great but even the checkout process is a bit confusing. The smoothies/shakes are good.
