Spectacular experience. Accommodated a party of eleven. Fresh, delicious and quick to serve. They also were able to alter a tofu dish for me so that it was vegan. They make their noodles in house.
Updated review: We went back to East and it was just as good as our first visit! The service was outstanding and the food was really wonderful! We can't get enough of their spicy tuna maki! ---------------------------- Enjoyed a nice merienda at East inside Rustan's this weekend and it was excellent. Carrot / orange juice was very refreshing and healthy as it was not full of sugar as is common for shakes / juices in Manila. Gyoza were nice and crispy, spicy tuna roll was well made and very tasty although not really too spicy. The star of the show was the mixed tempura with the shrimp …
East is unknown to you unless you shop at the women's section on the 2nd floor of Rustan's Department store, a friend brings you here, or you hear about it. The dishes are prepared with quality. We had late afternoon snacks and liked its California maki and lomi. You must try as well its home made ice cream which texture is similar to the Filipino dirty ice cream. Its appearance has many cracks giving you the impression that it's dry, but it's actually creamy. Try the gabi pinipig with cheese and maize con yelo. It serves great coffee too. Nice to just hang out with a close friend or friends …
A nice Asian restaurant inside Rustan's Makati. The salt & pepper soft shell crab salad was very good and so was the miso soup with scallops. It has a very relaxing ambience. We sat beside the small koi pond. The restroom is very nice and clean. Check it out when you're in the area.
This restaurant is located inside Rustan's 2f department store. Chanced upon this place while going around Rustan's. We're just glad we decided to have coffee. Nice ambiance, accommodating and friendly staff. Definitely enjoyed our dining experience. We had coffee and tried their best seller dessert, sumaki. This dish is made of our native suman, drizzled with latik, topped with homemade ice cream with fresh ripe mangoes on the side. I must say it was a perfect combination. Will definitely return to try their other dishes. The sumaki is a must try to end a good meal.
