So pleased to sample some of their bestsellers: 》Buttered Garlic Steak | The meat was perfectly cooked, buttery and aromatic. The portion size is good for sharing too, such great value for money. This is certainly a hearty and comforting steak which won't break the bank. 》Grilled Cheese Steak Sandwich | Tender minute steak with caramelized onions, melted cheddar and mozzarella enclosed in a toasted bread - every bite was absolutely satisfying. This sandwich box comes with a side salad and onion rings. 》Onion Rings | They claim that their onion rings are the best in town and after devouring …
This review is for Stons in the Glorietta Food Court. I've known about Stons since we used to live "next door" to Evia Lifestyle Center before. One thing that I vividly remember is how patiently Chef JM Sunglao, its founder would explain to customers the dishes he was serving. What he offered was extraordinary value since his Minute Steaks already come with a side salad and his terrific Onion Rings which I would dare say are the best in Manila. Evenly coated with his signature batter that gives the best crunch to the onion. They were so good that even if they came as sides, we would still…
The best onion rings ever! Love their steaks too, affordable & isn’t overly salty, just right. It’s our go to place whenever craving for steak but didn’t want to spend that much or fancy up. 😄 The one in Evia is at the food court in the cinema (update: this one’s already closed, but they still have a branch in Makati). We also order them to go sometimes.
It was a pleasant surprise to see Stons still up and running after a large swath of F&B joints were taken down by the pandemic. Previously, we had ordered their steaks which came on a bed of salad greens, and honestly, it was a pleasant surprise for us. We also added onion rings to our order. It wasn't the greatest, but good enough. There's a nest of tables outside the stall but since it's located just outside the food court, you can anywhere you want. Pre- or post-movie, it's a place worth trying when you're at Evia. Who knows, you might come back for seconds.
I ordered medium, yet, received medium-rare, and it isn't freshly cooked. Their customer service's quite lacking as well—the chef spoke a tad too harsh when I requested them to heat up the steak. (Glorietta's Food Court).
