They strive for traditional Japanese dishes and they deliver pretty well considering limited local resources and techniques. Not true Japanese but the best you might find in the Philippines. Ommakasse is a bit expensive but it spans all genres of Japanese cooking. The fish is not super fresh but the best I have had in the Philippines.

they’ve got fresh seafood, but the mains are a bit hit or miss. for the sashimi, i really enjoyed it, especially the shrimp sashimi. the hamachi was fresh! but otoro was just okay; it wasn’t the freshest and didn’t have that clean, buttery texture..it kind of fell apart too easily. the japanese uni was disappointing as well. it didn’t taste like uni from japan and honestly felt lower quality than some local ones. the cod was decent. the truffle edamame was a hit, simple but really flavorful. the genba maki was also good, not your usual maki, with great textures and flavors that complemented e…

Very expensive for slightly better than average food. I ordered the Omakase, and it was a hit and miss. The sushi and appetizers were good, but the pork belly was not good. The soba, steamed egg, and tempura were average. Spent around 5000 per person. The service was also weird. They mistakenly brought us extra sushi that was not meant for us, so they took it back. Also forgot to bring out the miso soup. Takes a while for drinks to be refilled. I expect more for what I'm paying for.

I have eaten in Japanese restaurants althroughout the world. Highly expensive for just above the norm food. Service was atrocious with a wrong order right off the bat even with a list given to them. you can hear the crew chatting loudly through the mostly empty restaurant which brought you out of the experience.
