Maisen belongs to the same company that brought Marugame to the Philippines, so their Katsudon is similar in quality as Marugame’s, which is to say it’s good. Even their take-out packaging is very similar. Service was efficient. We got our takeout order in under 10 minutes. Lastly, since it’s a stall in Glorietta’s food court, finding a parking lot and/or table may or may not be easy, depending on the time of the day.

I am loving their Tenderloin Katsu lately especially when paired with lots of cabbage. This outlet is not for people who are seriously in a hurry because there is a waiting time of about 15 minutes on non-busy days. They have a branch in Greenbelt right across the chapel, but solo diners would most likely find this Glorietta branch more ideal because it is located within the food court.

got their chicken katsu curry for lunch earlier. pros: it's nice to see the chicken katsu portion be bigger than the rice. nice amount of flavorful chicken. the breading has a nice crunch to it. service is relatively fast (10 minutes). not so nice: they don't have the buzzer system that all other stores in the food court have, so getting the exact timing of claiming your food can be tricky. the breading separates from the chicken very easily so there would be some bites where it's just bare chicken. the not nice: they should change the recipe they're using for their curry. it's very watery…

The Katsu Curry was good. I was expecting a bit of ingredients from the curry part like other Japanese restaurants/stalls but it was only the curry sauce. Rice was excellent as it wasn't sticky nor dry. Thank you!

Our first time to try maisen in glorietta. We ordered the tenderloin curry and katsudon with miso soup and everything was delicous! And the service was great as well, the staff were friendly and attentive and we got our order in less than 10 mins. The only trouble was finding table space in the food court. Fortunately we found a place. This was a surprisingly good discovery for us.
