Needed a quick coffee so I tried this when I passed by. My cup was 80% ice, can't taste the coffee 😅
I have to say this is definitely one of the BEST Halo Halo I've tried, ever. I would recommend you to get the large size. It's super tasty, and we will definitely come back for more! Highly recommended!
Filipino-first store selling traditionally weaved baskets, bags, and materials that happens to have a simple Pickup coffee-branded halo halo store inside. They have their own spin on their drinks, but still has the classic pickup coffee Americano albeit at about double the price.
Sorry but the halo halo was too sweet, shaved ice were more of chunks, ube ice cream was definitely not ice cream but warm, whipped purple cream. Ingredients used seemed like stuff from bottled, processed, very fake, colored, fruit-flavored bits. The macapuno was hard and even the beans! I only had about 5 scoops of it and couldn’t eat more of it. Horrible.
I took a look at this place thinking it was a consignment store. But I was instead, left in frustration. I was: 1. ...not helped nor my presence, acknowledged 2. ...left surprised about how there was a barista at the back of the store, while clothes and bags lined the hallway leading up to the coffee shop. 3. ...continuously confused as to what this place was. The name is called "Halo-Halo" but when I asked the employees what the concept was about, they couldn't really answer me. Let's not forget that they didn't even know what "consignment" is.
