We eat at Max's from time to time. We love their Spring Chicken, and Tofu. We also got fresh lumpia. They would give you a small amount of sauce, but you can ask for more. The Calamansi juice also came in a smaller glass this time. Chicken was still good. Also their soup of the day was usually beef soup, which was yum! Their Kare-lareng Gulay was kinda pricey (almost php500, serves 2-3pax). /travelspeedx
Ordered half fried spring chicken and tofu sisig. Flavor: Chicken was moist and flavorful inside and out. Tofu sisig was also okay, relying on mayonnaise for flavor Value: Not a great value. As seen from pictures, serving is quite small for the price tag.
Chicken was okay, bulalo served with cold meat, pouring hot soup just did not taste good anymore. Oily floors, dirty chairs, dining experience was forgettable.
The food is not as good as it used to be, the chicken is dry, the Sinigang na Bangus belly only has two small slices of bangus belly and the vegetables are undercooked. Their Food is too expensive right now for the quality of food they're serving.
Please review your chicken sizes; your loyal patrons are willing to pay extra but be sure you are not shortchanging them!!! Case in point - your family size chicken is similar with your spring chicken!!!! SEE PICTURES Your FRESH LUMPIA has only a small portion of lettuce leaf in the tip... made to appear it has one inside.
