I had the Lemon Torte and my friend had the Mango Chocolate Torte. At first, we thought the slices were pretty pricey but when they came out, we were overwhelmed by the size. Mine had just the right balance of sweet through the creamy icing and tang through the lemon flavors, and since the inside was merengue, I wasn’t sickeningly full after. My friend notes that hers had real frozen mangos and was better than the more popular brand’s.

This slice of cake is just divine! Very soft and not too sweet. The burnt yema topping also has a slight bitter burnt taste just enough to balance the flavors in this piece of heaven 😋 In photo: Tarta Quemada

Tarta Quemada is a must-try! It’s light and not too sweet. Perfect balance of sweetness from the burnt yema-like topping and the fluffy chiffon. Their spinach dip with Gorgonzola is also a great appetizer :) They have a lot of cakes and bread to choose from. They also have frozen deli to take home aside from the cakes. We weren’t able to try their savory dishes so that’s another reason to dine here again. They are right beside Victorino’s. Diners are given both Victorino’s and Henny Sison’s menus :)

Henry Sison's desserterie is located inside Victorino's restaurant which is a Filipino restaurant. The desserterie is inside to the left near the counter where you'll see a display cabinet for the cakes as well as other pastries and snacks available for take away. The cakes are delicious and always fresh.

Great service all around, from the moment you arrive until you exit. I love the breads and the sans rival varieties. I especially appreciate the lavosh which I haven't found anywhere else. I found the new key lime cake too sweet though. Regardless of my personal palate, the goodies here are high quality. Generally, their prices are higher with smaller portions. But the packaging and presentation make their offerings highly giftable.
