If you're missing your Taiwan trip, better visit the nearest Hot Star place near you. Their chicken is the same as what we had in Taiwan. Very crispy, you will love its unique taste and flavor. Not your ordinary chicken. If you buy a XXL chicken you will have free rice. Their staff are friendly. The store is very clean.

The chicken is absolutely amazing.So flavorful,it's tender its the same taste that I tasted in Taiwan.Next time I will try the crispy and Spicy chicken.Superb!!

Hot Star is another surprising fast food. It originated from taiwan and it serves delicious fried chickens smothered in your choice of sauces! They have meals ranging from chicken and rice to chicken sandwiches and of course the usual fast food pinoy style spaghetti. But their best seller is definitely their chicken and rice combo meals. Their chicken sizes are huge!! Fried and crunchy but moist and juicy inside. It reminds me of how chop stop used to do their chicken steaks, only Hot star made it more delicious with their savory breading and their wide array of sauces. Its just a shame that …

THE SERVING IS GIGANTIC. I ordered salt and pepper with superstar breading. It’s delicious. However, I was disappointed when I tried to order extra cheese subsequently as a separate order. My order was declined because according to their staff it was their policy that the extra cheese can only be availed together with the chicken. That explains why there is only a chicken and a gravy in the photo. Sadge.

The chicken is undercooked. It is still very pink and is not juicy. The manager insists it is because it is because it is a thigh part, but it does not really taste good. The ice tea did not have ice, they notified us after they have served us so we cannot return it anymore. Very bad experience.
