Finally, a resto in the south that captured legit Japanese taste! Having lived in Japan for 2 years, the food we ordered tasted close to my favorite food back in Kyoto. The Mazesoba was delicious and had a good balance of flavors. We also couldn't get enough of their robatayaki — aspara gyu, sausages, you name it! Crispy golden tempura, they got it! I would definitely go back and try the rest of their menu. Highly recommend!
I didn't get to take photos of all the food we ordered. I guess that's proof of how we enjoyed them all so much. All of our plates looked like there never was food there. We tried the salmon sashimi, draft beer, truffle wagyu ramen, karaage, and a sticks platter. I'd never imagine truffle would taste so good in ramen!! We had aspara gyu, enoki bacon, wagyu robata, and arabiki sausage for the sticks platter. The owner also gave us gyoza and house blend iced tea on the house 🫶🏼 Please try, you'd get your money's worth!! Edited: Added photos from return visit
The two staff members who served our table were excellent. I recommend the “Wagyu Truffle Ramen”— the truffle flavor was subtle and the whole dish—perfection. Will come back even just for this specific dish. What we ordered: Wagyu Truffle Ramen, Tuna Sashimi, Mazesoba, Tofu Steak, Japanese Brewed Iced Tea, Matcha Gelato, Tablea Gelato
Ambience is unmatched to all the other Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. I highly recommend the wagyu truffle ramen but, honestly, everything is fantastic.
I like almost all the food we ordered except for the ramen. Payment option is limited to cash and gcash. Took almost 30 minutes for the staff to compute our bill. It seems she does not know how to compute senior discounts. She needs more training.
