A simple but cozy place for get-togethers, which we now do once a month with my high school friends. It's also one of our favorite party venues. Food is OK and priced right. Nothing spectacular, but we are happy with the service and simple amenities. If you're looking for a simple place with OK food and friendly and helpful staff, this is the place.
First time to try Jay-J's Inasal. Experience was great. Bbq was tasty and tender. Inihaw na liempo in salt & pepper is highly recommended. That's the liempo that I grew up with.
It was lunchtime when we went here. No Lunch Crowd at Lunchtime. Service was Good but the Chicken Inasal could have been better. The Chicken Inasal was tough, and did not taste newly grilled, probably several times reheated. The Bangus was Good. A lot of Menu Items out of stock.
This is the only restaurant I know that offers burong isda as a side for the main course. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember just for the burong isda. This used to be a prime destination for yuppies in the early 2000s for lunchbreak or afterwork gatherings or for family dine-outs on weekends. So sad, it looks like it's barely surviving or going out of business soon. They have, however, maintained the premium quality of food. The dining utensils are a little old and ill-maintained.
For a restaurant with Inasal in the name and a neon sign that says "best inasal," you would expect it to be very good or at least better than other competition, but sadly, their inasal is subpar. It's dry and has little meat, and if I'm being honest, I think it's not newly grilled. We ordered shrimp gambas, pork sisig, 2 pieces of inasal, and grilled liver. First, their service is so slow; it took about 30 minutes for our order to come. Mind you, the restaurant has only 5 customers, including us. Second, their grilled liver is so bitter.
