the restaurant was old and location looked kinda sketchy BUT the food did not disappoint! Literally, do not judge the book by its cover.

we ordered the jjam-jjangmyeon and tangsuyuk (small) as chef paik recommended in his jjajangmyeon rhapsody in netflix. True enough, the combination of spicy jjampong and flavorful jjajangmyeon was definitely an experience. Tangsuyuk was served with the sauce on the side so every bite of it was crispy and tender. We were given pickled radish (which they said was unlimited naman but the initial serving was enough for us already)

haven’t tried a lot of korean food around the metro, but i have to say, this is one of the best ones out there. HUUGE servings that are perfect for sharing paired with scrumptious comfort food is a great experience. as someone with a low spice tolerance, their jjampong was already a bit too spicy for me, but i couldn’t stop eating because it tasted soo good— bold, fiery, and hearty flavors all in one dish. the same goes with the chicken dish we tried, which also had large portions. their jajangmyeon, along with the pickled radish was also really comforting as i slurped the earthy flavors of t…

such a good find !! a small hole-in-the-wall spot that’s actually pretty famous, kind of like bern n mimi but focused on jampong, jajangmyeon, and tangsuyuk. jampong was okay for me, but the jajangmyeon was sooo good… super flavorful and perfectly saucy, which I loved. the steamed mandu was also a standout, really delicious, and the tangsuyuk was best when you ask for the sweet and sour sauce on the side — crispy, tasty, and definitely bang for your buck. it could be a lil bit crispier tho!!

I really love their jjajangmyeon. It tastes really authentic. The location might seem a bit sketchy, but it actually adds to the charm of the whole “hidden gem” experience.
