I haven’t tried inato while in Dumaguete that’s why I have to get this in Dipolog. I had to see the difference between Bacolod’s Chicken Inasal, Mang Inasal, and Chicken Inato. So here goes: 1. Bacolod Chicken Inasal is still the best for me. Especially from Aida’s. It has a certain umami and spicy taste that I cant explain. 2. Mang Inasal is a commercial substitute to bacolod’s. 3. Chicken Inato has this sweet side to it. That’s why it’s better if the condiment has lots of chili to counteract the sweetness of the chicken. But if we talk of Dipolog or Dumaguete alone, then Chicken Inato …
The ambience of the resto is very nice. Servings are soooo full. We ordered lomi for just 150pesos, that's good for 3 to 4 persons.
Their chicken inasal is still the best inasal I’ve ever tasted. Nothing can beat it. I haven’t been here for quite sometime cuz I’ve been working abroad the past seven years. Glad to report that after so many years, their food still has the same great taste. My family has been a loyal customer since the first time it opened in Dipolog. We keep coming back for their inasal to this day. ❤️
Sisig pusit was really really sweet. The fish kinilaw's sauce looked like talong ensalada. The texture was more or less the same to a talong ensalada. Taste was good nonetheless. Their chicken barbeque though remains one of the best I've tasted.
The restaurant doesn't serve pork on its menu so it's Muslim-friendly. Despite it being a sit-down restaurant, ordering is done at the counter. I didn't know this so I waited for them to give me the menu for about 30 minutes. Most of their bestsellers were unavailable when I dined there so that was disappointing. I tried their bihon guisado, and I find it very dry. Taste wise, it's not good at all. The artificial flavoring was overpowering and they skimped on the chicken.
