First time we tried here, and the food didn’t disappoint. I loved everything we ordered. Just don’t go when there are too many people. They get too overwhelmed with the orders, and it will take some time for your request or orders to arrive. Parking is also limited.
Arrived around 240pm already and parking is full but you can park along the road. We tried their palabok, lechon kawali rice and biscoff mango halo halo and kamunings halo halo. Well halo halo is good refreshing. The food is alot good but serving is so small specially the lechon kawali 4 small.pieces. and it takes 20mins for our palabok to arrived and its cold and the bread is dry, then another 20mins for the lechon kawali means 40mins for the lechon kawali to arrived and its also cold...service should improve...
Visited late night, Taipao is really good! Thanks for the complimentary popcorn. Halo halo is not to my liking, felt like its more of a milkshake, the authencity of the flavor lacks due to overpowering ube ice cream. Service is meh. The new place is really cool, clean and new, so i believe customers are expecting more on service. Staff seems tired, unattentive. Cashier snacking - munching on popcorn while we were paying, for me- this is very unpolite.
Oct 2024: This is a local neighborhood joint. A bit pricey for its category. The taste is so-so and though they have lots of staff to assist you, you still need to call their attention. The famous halo-halo was a miss for me. The banana (lakatan) they used was not yet ripe and was still mapakla. As for the finely shaven ice, it melted all too quickly as soon as I stirred the glass. Will I come back again? Yes. I want to give local enterprises a chance to improve and succeed.
The food is good. It is traditional lutong bahay that is a little elevated. My partner and I were satisfied. We came on a Saturday during lunch. We understand that there will be more people dining and there are people waiting na. However, I think they are short-staffed & it felt like they’re running like headless chicken. The “starter” that we ordered didn’t arrive and we finished our mains. For our halo-halo, we had to follow up several times. Poorly coordinated staff although they were nice and smiling. I think they need to increase staffing during peak season and/or provide additional tra…
