Confused as to the low rating of this place. Went last night and had a delicious seafood platter for just 650 pesos. Service was good, restaurant looked nice and everything was great.
It's amazing how affordable their lobster is! For this one that we order, we only paid 990. In manila, this would be 3k to 3500. Just a tip: their set meals are kinda not worth the price compared to ordering an ala carte menu. We enjoyed their garlic kangkong, sinampalukang manok, and kinilaw na isda. We should have bought the adobong pusit instead of the couple set meal. We dined in their cottage/kubo and it's comfy since it has its own fan.
The rating on Google Maps is definitely unfair! The restaurant offers a wide selection of fresh seafood, with tanks displaying live fish to ensure quality. The dishes are delicious, and the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. Of course, a picky tourist might find something to criticize, but for those who value freshness and variety in seafood, this place is a great find. It definitely deserves a higher rating!
I expected too much from this restaurant. :/ Ambiance: typical filipino restaurant set-up with kubo (nipa hut). Two of the kubo sitting set-ups like hapag (expect indian sitting). Service: two obvious newbies (courteous and attentive). The main server was kind and courteous as well - answers all our questions. But was looking forward for some recommendations on what their best sellers are (but none was suggested). Food was served like 30mins after we ordered. Food: disappointed, or maybe i expected too much. Pork Bbq Liempo - costs too much as to its serving size. Also, it was hard to chew…
In a month travelling in the Philippines this might be our worst restaurant experience. We wanted to enjoy a last Filipino meal in Coron before heading back home but we are really disappointed. we ordered our drinks & food , waitress came back to tell us one dish wasn’t available (which isn’t a problem) - 1 minute later a waiter « threw » a plat of sisig mushrooms on our table. We didn’t received our drinks yet, we had no plates, no rice … We had to ask for our beers, they had forgotten. We then had to wait for almost 10 minutes for all the dishes to come out of the kitchen… one by one. Wait…
