Japanese
Mandaluyong, Metro Manila
Arguably the top dining place in SM Light. Low bar considering the list, I know. Seating can be crowded, especially during dinner.
I always have trouble choosing what to order here because they have large servings. So when I am hungrier than normal, I go here for some Japanese food. I got to enjoy my food while watching with my phone.
Average Japanese comfort meals. My go-to for affordable and nearby Japanese resto. Ramen here is meh, sushi and sashimi is just ok. Katsudon is good, curries are so-so and kinda lacks its toppings.
The salmon were a bit soggy. Like they were out of the freezer for some time. It tended to break apart when picked up. Thankfully, the rice was not crumbling. It can be difficult to eat with chopsticks if the latter were so. I enjoyed the pork ramen. The serving size was big enough. Although I thought it could do with an additional strip of pork (or 2) at the PHP379 price point. Anyway, this is probably the only restaurant in the mall where you have to be outside of the mall for you to get to it. Sits at a corner a number of steps away from the EDSA mall entrance.
Food was okay, i ordered their tonkatsu ramen, fries and iced tea. Nothing i would crave or go back for. Service was quick Atmosphere i feel like it was too cramped
