Upon entering, I was immediately struck by its warm and inviting atmosphere. The décor, with its rustic charm and elegant touches, set the tone for what would be a memorable dining experience. The staff were attentive and courteous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were knowledgeable about the menu and quick to provide recommendations, which enhanced our dining experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, each more delicious than the last. The Eggs Benedict with forest ham was exceptional. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, with a yolk that flowed beautifully upon …
I loved the steak & eggs – the portion was generous for the price, and even though the steak was a bit heavy on the thyme (which I personally like!), it was still delicious. The salad was decent but had a few too many red and green bell peppers for my taste. Despite dining very early, our orders came out quickly, and the servers were attentive throughout. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd recommend this place for the value and service.
Please note that this review is only for their pastries. Ordered for take out their pain au chocolat, macaron, and carrot cake. Unfortunately pain au chocolat was lacking in air, layers and buttery texture, the carrot cake was a bit dry. Their macarons are ok but there's just too much butter in the filling.
This restaurant may look upscale, but the overall experience was underwhelming. I'd prefer dining at Mary Grace where the service is superior. While the female servers were attentive, the male server was nearly ineffective. The food was mediocre at best and not worth a return visit. The staff could certainly benefit from additional training. Moreover, seeing a fly hopping from one pastry to another in the display area was quite off-putting.
We came here for coffee and dessert, but we had a terrible experience. The tablecloths were dirty and stained, not only on our table but also on the nearby ones. The drip coffee tasted like hot water, the crepe was cold and the tiramisu literally frozen. Even if there were only a few people inside, the service was slow and not paying attention to the customers.
