The first time I came to Lunares was when we were building Lubihan Siargao. That was 2019. Back then, the Vegan Banana Bread was Php100. I'm so glad to see it hasn't changed. ( I quipped it's my recession-proof vegan breakfast). Good coffee (I buy the Americano), goos atmosphere and friendly staff, too.
located still in the busy Tourism road although a bit distant from the bars but i love their small cafe!!! i went their in the afternoon before my flight and was about to buy their croissant but the lady staff said their croissant are usually sold mostly in the morning...but i was glad they still have other pastries on their shelf... i got their banana vegan bread and chocolate oat cookie instead and i was mind blown how rich the banana bread is (taste, texture, and weight) and oat cookie has its own signature different from other oat cookies... glad i went there but if only i went their du…
First day in Siargao and tired from a quick inland tour that included a boatride along Maasin River, a dip at the crystal clear Secret Lagoon, and another dip at the Hidden Beach, nothing can be more satisfying than coffee. We had a quick breakfast and coffee in Lunares Cafe before our tour. The food were a bit pricey. The taste and quality of food were just average.
Plenty of power plugs (that need some maintenance, as my charger falls out of them all the time), wifi free and unlimited, chairs could be also renovated as the current rip your pants, tables a bit tiny. The coffee tasted dusty, bitter, over-extracted. Even the second time, so maybe their coffee choice is not the best. Food is okay prices. Also got served a small portion, and chips instead of fries. But the focaccia is good!
