A good place to eat when you crave for Filipino food. The food taste ok. Serving sizes on the menu feels like lesser than actual.
We missed Filo food! We ordered their set menu for 5 people then addrd some lengua and desserts! The food compared to the photos on their menu was quite small - Small servings. However, the quality of food was good especially their lengua! Small portions but tasty! The ambiance of the resto was quite packed and a bit hot. We requested for the fan to be opened but after 3x requests, they still didnt mind us. Also, the serving time was quite slow.
This place has been in existence for a number of years already but this is the FIRST time for me to dine here. I really do not know what stalled me from eating here…must be the Kapampangan cuisine which I know I can also have in Cabalen. Anyway, the ambience of Mangan is of course very different from Cabalen. Very much it looks like a set for a nostalgic movie! The price may also be a bit overboard when compared to Cabalen’s but actually one dish can be shared by two so it comes out affordable. I had the adobong pusit and sisig fried rice and though a bit salty the taste was good. Their men…
A Taste of Disappointment: Mangan's Uncooked Rice Mishap Mangan, a beloved local eatery known for its delicious dishes, unfortunately left a sour taste in our mouths due to a series of unfortunate events. While their food is undeniably good, our recent experience was marred by poor customer service and a lack of accountability. The incident began when our order arrived with a plate of uncooked rice. We were initially surprised but assumed it was a simple oversight. However, when we flagged the issue with the server, we were met with a lackluster response. To our dismay, the replacement rice w…
I love sisigs so thought I’ll give this one a go. Total wrong decision, waste of stomach space & time. I ordered the Sisig ni Mely, when dish came it was just warm, really strong off putting porky stench & the pork fats in the dish was just pasty small fat bits, usually sisigs should be served piping hot so fats in the dish is slightly rendered & aromatic. The garlic rice was also not aromatic, seemed like it was just regular white rice sprinkled w garlic bits on top. Service was also really mediocre, the person in charge i believe was the man in black shirt, couldn’t even bother to make eye …
