It's been a long time since I dined at Max's. Chicken is still good and it goes well with Kare Kare. And yes, it's always "Sarap to the Bones".
I like the Max's Restaurant in Venice. The restaurant occupies two floors facing the beautiful replica of grand canal glimmering with its turquoise water. We dined on the second floor overlooking the canal. The place also offers outside seats for an open and closer dining experience with the Grand Canal. The place has great lighting and the crews were respectfully engaging. There were instances though when the people in the kitchen spoke too loudly with each other. We ordered their pork sinigang and spring chicken, and both tasted really good. The meat was super tender. The soup of the pork …
We came here for the view & some photo op but due to the humid temps we ended up having our dinner here. Food tasted just Ok - NO wow factor. Fast service.
Chicken was dry. Lumpiang gulay was served like a soup with a sweet peanut sauce. 😫 Kare kare served cold, only sauce was reheated but the beef was ice cold. Max’s food quality has declined a lot. They play loud music, food prep is mediocre and a/c is poor.... like a school cafeteria. Avoid!
