Max's will always be a favourite. A place that serves comfort food of Filipino taste. The sinigang, bulalo, kare-kare are all fave and most ordered dishes from their menu. Of course their fried chicken is distinctly their own and very different from the usual fastfood ones. The menu has group and combo meals which are very much 👍🏼 on value for money. Max’s Restaurant in SM Santa Rosa City. Never ending chicken goodness - still the best tasting fried chicken - original flavor without bread crumbs and fancy flavoring. Staff are accommodating, service with a smile. Foods were served less than ten (10minutes) pther superb choices are pakbet, sinogang na pork, sinigang na tiyan/bangus belly, sicy fried tofu. Sweet and sour fish was very good according to my husband, kare Kare was okay, fried chicken not so good for me, the noodles also just so-so. I like the tinola soup, I wanted more though but just a small serve for us. Beef caldereta was just ok. The lumpiang ubod was not as good as the last time we had it. Very poor service, poor food quality and small portion sizes for the price. We waited for 2 hours for the delivery and made repeated phone calls to follow-up. Also for some reason we are unable to track the delivery in their system which is why we keep calling their hotline which is also not very easy to reach. There was also no freebie whatsoever to compensate for the lateness. Shame that Max’s Restaurant has a good reputation in Singapore, but not in it’s home country and definitely not in this branch.
