I recently dined at Max's Restaurant in SM Baguio and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. This location offers the largest servings I've ever seen at any Max's, making it great value for money. The staff were friendly and the service was impressively fast. Service Crew is accommodating and approachable. The place is spacious and clean. However, the serving of fish fillet was too small for its price. The fillet was too dry, overcooked and it seemed like it was just reheated. Same goes with its sauce, it seemed like it was just 2 tablespoons of sauce that weren’t even enough to cover the dish.

When we visited the restaurant, it wasn’t crowded and there were still available chairs for us to choose from. The taste of the food was alright nothing special. But the chicken was good especially the sisig. The ambiance of the restaurant was a bit dark it lacks light when we were seated. The staff were also accommodating to our requests.

I don’t know what happened to this branch, but I am so disappointed! First if all the sisig are full of onions! It should be onion sisig. Their fried chicken is quite toasted and I feel that it’s not as juicy as before, no crispy pata available, the fresh lumpia is dried, and the pancit is quite salty. It is just a mystery that this branch is different from the one in Session Road. Anyway, I enjoyed their halo halo and the ambience is quite nice. I really hope that they can improve or bring back that old Max feeling.
