Through the years, from when I was a kid in the 1970’s until now, Max’s remains to be a local favorite Pinoy restaurant. It has never lost its appeal to all the Filipino classes, mostly catering to families. There were few changes aesthetically and management style wise, but the core of it, which is its fried chicken and pinoy native dishes, have stayed as beloved as they are delicious. This Sucat branch is as authentic as its OG predecessor in Manila. Highly recommended! And best enjoyed by families or groups.
As a vegetarian in the Philippines, I know I can come to Max's because they have a few things I can eat. I really like the tofu sisig and veg kate kare. Also tried the lumpiang ubud though it tasted like there was some meat in there. Anyways, enjoyed the food, it's quite expensive to me, but like not having to find a place where I could eat something.
It was nice since it's Max's and we already know what we like. The chicken is ever crispy, the pansit and fish fillet are good. My favorite is the tofu sisig and my niece's is the sinigang. This is our go to place if we want the classics. They also sell pastries like cakes and cookies like the rebel bar which is my nephew's favorite. The chocolate cake that we got for my nephew is good. But what really bothers me is their air-conditioning. I don't know if they are saving current since after we ate we felt the heat and even get perspire because of it. I have to leave the restaurant because it …
Food is delicious but pricey. Waiter who attended missed an order. Serving time is as expected. Giving only 3 stars because my expectations when you pay for that price for food were only somewhat met. Pictures look good though..
waited for 20 mns for the order then tell us not available. taste is very bland. Lasang tabi-tabi, very upsetting. Caldereta is tough and watery, sisig seems not sisig, its really wet and almost no pork. Canton doesn't have taste. We didn't finish the food. Not worth the price.
