Why did I only recently find out about this restaurant? Lemon chicken is the best! worth a shot.

After office, got to stroll along SM Megamall, got tired and hungry. Did crave for Chinese food and saw Mey lin. Ordered beef broccoli and Yang chao for take away, and while waiting for that, ordered Siomai dimsum. Food taste great, service is superb, and it is clean as well. Will try to go back to order the other dishes that they had.

Located in SM Megamall, ground floor, building A, in front of the SM grocery store. One of the Chinese restaurants in the mall. Expensive. Not your everyday go to restaurant, maybe for special get togethers :) We had the Yang Chow Fried Rice, Squid with Spiced Salt, Steamed Broccoli, Steamed Fish with Superior Sauce. Winner was the Steamed Fish, perfectly steamed and the yummy drippings. Not overpowering but just the right amount of seasoning. Staff were friendly too so that is a bonus. It wasn't that crowded during our visit so we were able to enjoy our lunch at the restaurant.

They only reopened this week after months of lockdown due to the pandemic. Some items in the menu were unavailable. The dried string beans dish was very good. The mapo tofu was ok. It was saltier than most mapo tofus I've had; and not as spicy as I was hoping. I ordered their deep fried intestines; I've not tried them before. They were nice and crispy; but there was an aftertaste that I found unappealing. It is definitely an acquired taste. The chicken feet was not so good. Even with the sauce, I found them a bit dry. I give good marks for the friendly and attentive staff.

Chinese food craving brought us to Mey Lin restaurant nicely located at the ground floor of Bldg. A of Megamall. The dining place is pretty spacious with no customer on a weekend (Oct.9) dinner time. I tried their yangchow rice, crispy tofu and kangkong with brown sauce. Food is too salty, small servings and pricey. Food quality is not worth the cost. Service is terrible, food is served after a 45 minutes wait. I need to wait for 30 minutes to get the bill since the serving staff chats with the cashier. I have to pay my bill directly to the cashier. Not coming back.
