Located at the Garnet Rd side of the restaurant row of Sapphire Bloc where the ATMs are. This Japanese restaurant has a very wide variety of food offerings with very good quality and presentation. I have been here several times and the service and food have always been commendable. I especially like their Kabutoni (Lapu-Lapu or Maya-Maya) and Soft Shell Crab, they’re a must try. Tried nabeyaki udon(top priced), best part of it was the soup and noodles so I suggest you try the more affordable udons. Interior design could be better.

Shinsen Sushi Bar and Restaurant The Sapphire Bloc serves great, fresh and newly cooked food to be served everyday. The service there is great, they greet you with kindness and joy with a huge smile on their faces. I highly recommend this restaurant to be visited and dined at with the whole family/group.

Surprisingly good Sukiyaki, a bit much on onions but tasty. Rolls were interesting and the spicy tuna salad also just enough spice. Overly staffed but good service and clean and attentive. Needs to check up on tea refill and taking away plates. A nice safe meal to fill you up and not much to complain about.

Update 2 (Aug 2024): Prices seems to be much more expensive. With the katsu curry being P600+. The curry is good but there was nothing special about the whole dish. The katsu was similar to other "normal" japanese restaurants. The ten zaru soba might still be worth it but it was around P500+ already also. Update: I tried the restaurant again and ordered the ten zaru soba. Increased the rating from 3 to 4 stars. The ten zaru soba was great with the tempura being really delicious. This order was worth the price. Only comment I have is that the soba was not cold anymore though. ________ It was…
