I had 7days quarantine in Mandaluyong and I wanted to have a pinoy food. I found out nearby my hotel Nid balot n bilao atbp. I love the smell of their food wrap in a banana leaves. I remember my younger days. My mom usually wrap me a lunch box in a banana leaves. I was so happy I had those kind of great childhood days. I am sure I like the food in Nids Balot. I kept ordering esp their beef caldereta and fried bangus.

Ordered from Foodpanda. It’s our 3rd time ordering their kare-kare and its still so good for the price. The serving size is massive. Good enough for the entire family. Not the best kare kare in the metro but good enough to satisfy your cravings esp if you’re on a budget.
Nid's Balot N' Bilao is a local eatery served with banana leaves. It has a branch in EDSA corner Boni Avenue, within Caltex Station compound. The ambience is simple but good. There's a mirror for you to inspect your grooming. The area is airconditioned. They have pasalubong box packs for Ube Halaya and other Filipino desserts. You can choose any silog or sizzling meals that are budget-friendly, with complementary chicken soup.
Ordered thru food panda. Shanghai tasted like oil, cant taste the meat as theres more wrapper than it. Taste of palabok was disappointing. Big servings but thats it.
