One if not the best Japanese restaurants I have eaten at. From the homemade Miso soup to the Sea Urchin sushi..Ceviche bowls all with wild caught produce.. The staff were amazing as are all the people I have met in Manila so far. Thank you Nikkei..
Great for having yakitori, sushi and donburi. Ambiance was almost like that of a speakeasy. Cocktails were great too. Only down side is that its toilet is located in the building lobby.
I absolutely love this Nikkei branch at Rada. The dishes are delicious. The presentation and food styling is a work of art. Thumbs up for that. Most importantly, its always fresh! The staff are all friendly. This two photos are my favorite.
Their tres leches is a bit bland. :( kind of a tasteless cake with mangoes. I hope they add a chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. That would certainly up the flavor. Staff was excellent though :)
Ugh, the food here was disappointing. This restaurant has been in my list for the past few years now and I was finally able to eat here only to taste below average food. Here's what we ordered: * ceviche roll - decent * panko roll - not good * unagi asparagus roll - decent * ebi tempura - bad, this is the first time I've tasted tempura that was bland. My dad prefers salty food so when he asked for us to add soy sauce to his mirin sauce, we thought it was his taste buds but when we tried it, we totally understood why * truffle gyudon - again lacking salt/seasoning and very very minimal tast…
