This is frequently visited by coworkers and I was finally able to join them a few times the past month. Shoyu Paitan Pretty hearty, rich, and heavy ramen meal. I don't think the eggs really complemented the ramen because of how rich the broth is. I guess the advice that you shouldn't finish the broth applies here. All the ingredients meld together so the taste is good but a bit one note. Roast chicken is good but I couldn't identify any unique flavors. Curry Maze Soba Uaite a spicy bowl. This was lighter than a bowl of ramen but still quite filling. It doesn't have the rich broth but count…
Our favorite ramen spot in Makati(we prefer this over Mendokoro{sorry!}) My friends’ go-to orders are Shoyu Paitan and Gyoza. They also serve flavorful Tsukemens.
Ever since we found out maru dori, we don't eat pork ramen anymore. We always get the Shio version. I tried the one with roasted chicken, but Shio is the one we stuck on. The broth feels like a hug everytime, and it is so creamy - you'd think it has milk. But it's all chicken! Plus is that It doesn't feel oily/heavy/sinful at all! Besides all the sides are amazing. Don't skip on the gyoza, it's cute and yum! We also tried the tsukune and tebasaki gyoza. All are worth the price - though I can never finish a bowl of ramen, so I always share and so we can order the sides freely hehe. Oh Racquel …
Winner winner chicken dinner 🤤 The Gyoza was like Xiao Long Bao with some soup inside. The Tantanmen had a Milky spicy broth that was so nice to have on a rainy evening. I'm giving the atmosphere 4 stars only because there was a big bangaw that was so annoying. Service is a 5 because they were attentive and friendly. One of the wait staff placed a candle beside me to ward off the fly. The food is a definite 5 stars 🤩 Be careful also not to order too much because any leftover ramen is not allowed to be taken out. The fried food though and other side dishes can be for take away.
This is a sister company of Mendokoro Ramen. If you're in the mood for chicken and ramen, visit this location, while Mendokoro serves pork. Additionally, you'll pay before being seated, which is convenient because you won't need to worry about payment after eating—you can simply leave when you're done. The portions are large enough to share with someone else, but if you're very hungry, you can easily finish a whole bowl by yourself. The servers are attentive and open to any special requests you may have regarding your food.
