We dined at Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar—Matalino in Diliman, Quezon City. Special thanks to Sir Nitz and the Peri Matalino team. There, we always enjoy a fantastic Sunday lunch. The staff is kind and responsive, and the branch is well-maintained, with parking available. Since our first visit, this branch has grown to be one of our favoured ones.

We ordered the Chicken and Rib Group meal, Peri-peri Signature Salad and Chunky & Creamy Chicken soup. Food is good, the chicken and ribs were tender and well seasoned. The salad was fresh with it's roasted sesame dressing, although there were less veggies (mostly lettuce). Soup was creamy and delicious too, although it would be better if there was a soup already included in the group meal since this was a separate order (additional 50pesos per soup).

Oct 2024: I visited this branch for the first time. The service was fast, but I found the food to be lacking in flavor. The java rice had no discernible taste, despite its vibrant yellow color. The chicken lacked flavor on its own and only became flavorful when paired with the sauces provided. However, the strong flavors of the sauces overpowered the taste of the chicken itself.

The place had a decent space to accommodate a group of people. It had an ample parking space. It also had a patio/ outdoor dining. The ambiance gives a modern vibe. It had a vibrant appeal. The place had a few staff to accommodate each tables especially on peak hours. So it will take time till they get your order. It also takes time for them to serve the food, so you need to be patient. The main dishes were great especially their famous roasted chicken and their salad. The soup is also good for a starter. Their dipping sauces is always top notch.
