Never knew about this place until a friend brought me here. It looks like a normal Eatery (carinderia) from the road, but it has good food! A self service eatery where they just serve the ulam and rice and you can get your own water/drinks, condiments, any extra rice, soup, etc. (but they serve if it's for crowds, so no worries) affordable and has a lot of serving (typical Filipino Eatery to serve you a lot of ulam and rice for a cheap price), the staff/family who owns the place are nice, kind, and approachable. For first timers (like me), you can ask for help to them and they'll guide you …
Yummy and generous serving of grilled bangus. Fresh tahong too.
Originally saw this on Mark Weins Youtube channel and just had to try it. They sell cafeteria style food where everything is already cooked and you just choose, in other words “turo turo”. The only thing they make fresh is the bangus. The other dishes here were just okay since most of it were already cold. I would come back here for their bangus only. The meat is super fresh and doesnt have that muddy taste usually associated with bangus. Price of the bangus is 250. While this was a good price the other dishes were quite expensive.
Step into this no-nonsense Carinderia and prepare to have your taste buds waltz with delight! 🎉 Nestled within its humble walls lies the secret to some of the town's most tantalizing Inihaw ng Bangus – an absolute blessing, especially during Lent! 😇 But hold your applause, seafood aficionados, for there's more than just the iconic Bangus on offer. From the majestic Blue Marlin to the tender Squid, this spot knows how to reel you in with its aquatic delights. Yet, amidst the sea of options, it's the Inihaw na Bangus that steals the spotlight, leaving taste buds in a state of euphoric surre…
++++ for the grilled bangus! The karinderia has various dishes I was so overwhelmed which to choose over. We arrived past 11:30am the place was jam packed but the wait for a table was worth it. The bangus (220 pesos) definitely was fresh, topped with a gracious amount of tomatoes, onions and celantro sobrang sulit. Diniguan (80 pesos)was oh soooo G double O D good! Thick sauce and the innards were tender with no nasty after taste when not cooked properly. I am defiantly going back to taste the bulalo and the grab a plate of leachon kawali matched with ensaladang talong.
