My husband and was looking for a place in Newport where at least we can get a decent table service, we came across with Rafael’s and it seems appealing at first. By the time we were seated, I’ve noticed the table setting was not completed, and only my husband got a cloth napkin while I was served with paper napkins. Not a big deal, but affects the experience. We have ordered a round of cocktails, it is good but needs to improve. Also service wise, I wish they serve the drinks at the same time. 4 sangrias and 2 meals is already 3,131 pesos. Portions are very very small. There’s more rice than there is meat. 256 pesos service charge from them doing nothing. If you go over to Bom Gosto, you pay 900 for big lump of Cordon Bleu good for 4 pax. Here, you spend 800 for Rib Eye Tapa that’s only good for 1 and the rice is overflowing. I mean, if you want to get your money’s worth. Definitely not here. Rib Eye Tapa tastes good but very very oily. Same goes with the Petronila Chicken. Sangrias are so small, and full of ice. So my 400 is only 1 jigger of Sangria??? Pretty expensive here …
