Wonderful small hotel right on the white sand beach. Intimate setting, sweet staff, great breakfast buffet, good snacks and excellent massage available. For those with a taste for smaller hotels, this is ideal, feels like family.

This was the first trip to Boracay where I brought the kids. It is right on the beach at station 1. The place is basic, but has everything you need without spending a fortune at bigger resorts. It is very quiet at this part of station 1, no loud music or parties. The staff are super accommodating. The grocery store and department store are a 5 minute walk. There is also a wash and dry place by the grocery that does all your laundry for an amazing price. One of the best breakfast and coffee places is just a 10 minute walk away. Compared to Boracay visit 1987 the place is like another World. Residencia was therefore about what one would expect from a concrete jungle resort facing a beautiful beach - functional. Smiling staff all around but also mostly staff-in-training who have too much time on their hands and have not been trained to do some basics, such as to keep enough beers in the cooler ready to serve chilled instead of luke-warm nor, to empty ashtrays in the smoking area more than once a day.

Obviously the location is what stands out because it’s right in the middle of station 1 but don’t expect much amenities from the hotel. It’s clean and has a restaurant in its beachfront. The room we stayed at the 3rd floor (main bldg is just 3 floors high so don’t expect an elevator). It’s a quaint hotel, no swimming pool (go and enjoy the swimming-pool-like beach instead), just a decent restaurant with basic food and drink offers and that beachfront chilling area. What I love about station 1 of course the long stretch of the shore (compared to other stations) so in the afternoon, the locals…
