After many many years, Reyes Barbeque still is a favorite! My super faves are grilled liempo and then tuna. Then sometimes, I order extra pork bbq when super hungry. I went home to Manila last May, and ate at Reyes BBQ three times! Twice in this branch then the third one in Glorietta. I guess there's nothing much left to say, but I'm just very happy that they're able to maintain their food quality and taste. Looking forward to my next visit! 🥰
Ok portions are small I would agree, but the quality of the chicken served and that peanut bbq sauce? Walang katulad! It’s been more than a decade since I’ve had Reyes BBQ, I ordered the 2pc chicken bbq stick meal for take away as I was hungry and the mall was about to close. Happy the staff still served me and the food was prepped and cooked to perfection. Well done Shang team 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
We ordered the chicken bbq skewers with Java rice. It was OK. The chicken skewers were quite fatty with skin. I guess that is what people like per like per local palette. I would have preferred my chicken pieces to be skinless. I was also hoping the skewers would be larger. But overall, the meal was just ok. Nothing special. I think there are better eateries in the mall but glad I tried this one.
Their chicken and pork barbecues are their specialties. The meat is consistently tender and delightfully seasoned. It also pairs well with their signature java rice and peanut sauce. It's a bit on the pricier side though, especially when you have other dining options.
The service was not good. The double chicken BBQ at P245 was very small, and the BBQ was mostly fatty skin. The rice was colorized to orangy spectrum. Most likely unhealthy food coloring. Con: negative experience with checking out. The credit card system is extremely inefficient. It prints out paper after paper after paper. They need to work out their accounting separately, not at the expense of customer experience. This would not be tolerated in the West, and Filipinos deserve better treatment of their time. Waste of paper, bad for environment. I would not recommend this place.
