I love the sayur asem which is the Indonesian version of our Sinigang. The soury acidic yet sweet flavor is super perfect to rainy and cold weather. Their sabal sabal is too spicy for me. Their chicken is so interesting. I love how they cooked their chicken and how it is so crispy and tender it can fall off the bones so easily. Would love to go back to try other dish.

I have a strong obsession with Indonesian cuisine, so after learning that Ria opened a branch in Makati, Philippines, I went to pay a visit.
Here’s what I ordered:
Ayam Penyet ₱280 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Ayam (chicken) tasted nice and was very crispy. The chicken didn’t smell or taste like it was cooked with bad oil since it doesn’t have a bad odor. As someone who enjoys spicy foods, the Sambal Terasi was indeed spicy but addicting at the same time! Overall, this dish is really nice; however, I just wish they served more slices of vegetables with it. (p.s. this dish also has tempeh, which is similar to…

We ordered Iga bakar (beef ribs), Cumi goreng tepung (calamari) and Mie goreng (fried noodles). My favorite is the calamares. Its crispy outside and soft and tender inside. Its cooked and seasoned nicely. I also like the beef ribs. Its not fall-off-the-bone ribs but its still tender and tastes good. Noodles is just right.

We had coffee at Ria after a night out at Pardon my French which is right beside it. Their place has a big space. And their servers were accommodating. One staff invited us in when we were looking for a cafe along the street. And he offered us a coffee menu. Their coffee were good though. It would be nice if they put up a small sign in front that says "we serve coffee".

We got the Nasi Goreng, Ayam Penyet (chicken), Grilled Beef Ribs, and Chendol. The chicken was really good. The ribs weren’t bad, but was more on the sweet side. Nasi goreng was just ok. Chendol wasn’t good, they use whole cubed ice instead of shaved. We gave feedback to the waiter, and they mentioned that they used to use shaved ice, but management decided to switch to cubed ice. If you want chendol, i suggest to go to the restaurant beside called Kaokee, their chendol is delicious!
Parking available as restaurant is located in a boutique hotel.
