I love this place. The lechon is just amazing. We ordered both the beef and pork and they were good. The price is reasonable too. The plaxe is clean and airy. It doesn't feel congested. We ordered take away, it took them ages to cut and pack it. We had to wait for more than half an hour before we got our food and it was all lechon that was already ready. Nevertheless, I still come back here when in Manila and I recommend this place to those who are craving for lechon!
I don't know what happened to this place. The ngohiong was a confused mess! It didn't know whether it wants to be a maruya (banana fritter), a fried lumpia or a ngohiong. Whoever cooked this never eaten ngohiong. I also ordered lechon and it was 7pm, just start of dinner, and place wasn't even half full, but they ran out already! How is that possible for a lechon restaurant. I instead ordered Cebu paksiw, which is lechon braised in vinegar. The taste was just so sweet! It even overpowered the vinegar! I see many tourists eating, and they may not know how to comment. But how can a Cebu ori…
I recently visited Rico's Lechon BGC branch and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The food seemed to be reheated, which, while understandable, didn't quite meet expectations. Most of the dishes were heavy on fat and lechon skin, which overshadowed the quality we hoped for especially the Lechon Paksiw. It seems like the crew might still be adjusting or under the weather, which could be affecting the overall service and food quality. While this branch didn’t meet our expectations this time, I’m hopeful they’ll improve with time. For now, I'd suggest trying a different location if…
Staff were unhappy with their work & service was slow. Called the manager to complain about the food but only supervisor in charge was there. The half Lechon served to us had a very large piece of fat (almost covered half of the plate) so we complained about this that maybe they could replace the weight of the piece of fat with regular meat. For its price, customers should not be getting that big piece of fat. We got 1kg of the spicy as well & although there were fatty pieces there too, we didn’t complain bec we knew that it’s always a mix of both. The half kg Lechon just had an alarming amou…
