Good location if you don't want the traffic and pollution in the city proper. Basic room without aircon but still so cold when we went here. The breakfast buffet is simple but delicious, we love the deep fried shrimp and fresh fruits.

Very accommodating hotel manager! Our stay was hassle-free because the staff are so nice and helpful. The location is great, too. Walking distance from tourist spots (Mansion, Wright Park) and great eats (Ranee House of Curry, Grumpy Joe) but without the noise of traffic.

Cozy rooms and beds, plenty of amenities, delightful and responsive staff, adequate (and often easy) parking, location is easy to get to from anywhere, security is well established, and in-house food is great! However, the Wi-Fi signal is weak (and slow; think 0.5-2 mbps up and down) within the bedrooms. The best spot for surfing is anywhere within the hotel lobby (say, 50 mbps up and down).

If you don't mind a short uphill climb, you could walk to Minesview Park in about 10 minutes. There's a couple of other tourist spots nearby but you'd have to take public transport or a taxi to get to the city. The rooms were clean but could use a fresh coat of paint (they did say they were currently renovating). Our rooms did not have a view and overlooked a couple of private residences but the area was quiet in general. Hot and cold water is available in the shower. Wifi is free for guests. The dining/reception hall has a wonderful wood cabin ambiance and the staff were very accommodating. Our stay would have been far better though if the toilet seat wasn't too close to the shower door, if the shower heater wasn't difficult to adjust, and if there wasn't a gap in the window curtain.
