Although my family and I live in Mandaluyong, we often visit the Rodic’s branch on Yakal Street in Makati. This location has become a favorite for its simple, straightforward, and reasonably priced Filipino fare, particularly the always satisfying SILOGs—rice meals served with a choice of protein and a fried egg that truly embody the heart of Filipino comfort food. While we believe Tapsi ni Vivian at Bulaluhan offers a wider variety of dishes and more delicious food, Rodic’s can hold its own, and although smaller, is cleaner and has a cozier atmosphere. Each visit feels like a comforting emb…

Love the place, serves great tasting tapsilog. Their vinegar really goes well with it. They also have free soup that tasted just right, not very salty like other restaurants. The cleanest tapsihan I have been to.

Nostalgic! The tapasilog was the same as I remember from my college days. Still flakey, with that malasado sunny side up, and perfect tapa-kanin ratio. Baconsilog was equally filling. I tried the beef caldereta — they did not scrimp on the sauce, the beef was tender, and the potato chunks were well-cooked. The caldereta had a classic taste with a bit of heat and cheesy mouthfeel. There’s free soup and drinking water. The manager Diana was very accommodating and courteous.

I love Rodic’s. Their tapsilog is the only tapsilog I eat. Loved it for more than a decade already, since the time it was only 60 pesos per meal. Some branches don’t get the tapsi right, but this branch makes it like the og one in UP Shopping Center. Their vinegar’s a bit bland though?

Famous for their Tapsilog and Caldereta. Taste is okay for its price. Their tapsi looks like corned tapsi, its taste is on the sweeter side. Caldereta's meat is quite tender, quality is not as high as restaurant standards but better than typical diners. Served our orders pretty quick. Place is new, so still clean and comfortable.
