Their Katsudon meals are really good! My favorite is their Chicken Katsudon!
Main meals: Bland taste, sauce, and chicken lack salt and umami (Matabang). Crab croquettes are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing 👏
Weekend day out with the family, first time in Mitsukoshi and went to the basement foodcourt to try one of my favorite japanese food tonkatsu. Price 350 for the loin porkchop. Took about less than 10 minutes for my order to be ready. Taste was okay. Portion size was good for its price. Huge porkchop with scrambledn egg and steamed rice underneath. It was good but felt like it was lacking something, like not enough sauce on the rice? but overall it was good and tasty and heavy on the tummy.
One of the cheapest options for katsu curry in Mitsukoshi. Katsu is bland on its own but is better paired with curry. Would also recommend the crab croquettes as a side. The food hall gets crowded on weekends and there is no tap water available.
My birthplace, Shinjuku, is home to Shinjuku Tonkatsu Saboten. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying its flavors again at the BGC Mitsukoshi food court. This time, I ordered the miso katsu don, and I must say, I’m sorry to other tonkatsu restaurants, but they can’t compete! It was delicious. I have a memory of seeing Saboten in the Philippines before, but this was the first time I tried it and felt so moved in a long time. I really want many people to know about this amazing taste! I’ll definitely be back soon!
